About Us

This website is owned and maintained by
Horse Canyon Consulting & Service's Inc.

We have been in the livestock industry for over twenty years and currently have a cattle operation in Southeastern Idaho.   We are big believers in horses that have good minds, good bone, good conformation and can work cattle.  We also believe in putting a solid foundation on our horses.

We use our horses for ranch work and sometimes compete in local rodeos and jackpots.  We have been blessed to be able to work with natural horsemanship trainers such as Greg Eliel, Bryan Neubert, Ellen Eckstein, Todd Fitch and Ken Smith.

Our Consignors

Sue Smith:  Sue grew up showing and jumping horses and was heavily influenced by dressage. Sue has 12 IMPRA barrel racing titles and 8 all-around titles. One of her most successful futurity mounts was JDC Best Effort. He carried Sue to a number of Wilderness Circuit Finals qualifications, the 2002 DNCFR and Dallas in 2001. Molly Powell rode JD when she won the Gold Medal at the 2002 Olympics and Danyelle Campbell ran him the same year at the NFR and placed in several rounds. She has had many amazing horses and this year she is running Real Claim To Fame.  Watch for them down the road!

David and Lorene Zimmerman: David and Lorene have been raising excellent quarter horses for over 30 years. They owned Cee Bee Command who earned an Open Performance ROM in 1981, was the 1982 AQHA Open World Champion Senior Working Cowhorse, 4th in Senior Reining, 1983 AQHA Open World Champion Senior Reining Horse, 1988-89 Buckskin Association Senior Reining Champion, and earned AQHA points in heeling. His 49 performing foals earned 427.5 points. Since Cee Bee Command, Zimmermans have had many champions in reining, reined cowhorse, cutting, barrel racing, calf roping, team roping, etc. Their mare Denim Jac won over $30,000 in LTE and is the dam to two of their stallions… Whizmatic and Tune Smith. Tune Smith has 191 AQHA Points in reined cow.
